True Love Never Dies.

O speak again, bright angel!
As glorious to this night, being o'er my head,
As is a winged messenger of heaven,
Unto the white-upturned wondering eyes,
Of mortals that fall back to gaze on him,
When he bestrides the lazy puffing clouds,
And sails upon the bosom of the air...

...With love's light wings did I o'er-perch these walls,
For stony limits cannot hold love out,
And what love can do, that dares love attempt..."
--Act 2, Scene 2: William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet.

Demri Lara Parrott

Very little can be found of the late Demri Lara Parrott.  We know that she was the love of Layne's life.  We know that she was one of the most important things in his life; that at her passing, Layne became so overwhelmed with grief, that he would gladly have given up his own life just to be with her.

According to her obituary, Demri was a very sweet, beautiful person, interested in philosophy, poetry, and art. She touched many lives.

This is for them.

The preceding picture, and those that follow are rare pictures of Demri which were given only to family members and close personal friends of Demri's. They were found on Photobucket.com, and should be returned to Kathleen Austin, Demri's mother. If anyone can help with this please email me and let me know. Thanks!

Here are some more pictures of Demri I acquired through Cameron on myspace. She got them through a friend of Demri's who allowed me to post them. These are just a few...I'll put more up later. Thanks to Cameron and thanks to Demri's friend. Please feel free to comment on the photos.

Demri passed away from endocarditis.  This is a bacterial infection of the heart valves that may be caused by many different factors, including the insertion of IV syringes. It is not contagious. But the fact remains that many of the needles she may have used during her heroin use probably contributed to the onset of the infection.  Left untreated, this infection can spread throughout the body, resulting in septicemia, a secondary and more serious condition that infects the respiratory, genitourniary and gastroinestinal tracts.  This is most likely the condition from which she greatly suffered. Symptoms include high fever and chills.

It is important for me to inform you of some of these conditions, so that we all might benefit from the further education of what drugs can do to the body... and why we should avoid them at all costs. Drugs are not fun. Drugs are not something we should be doing for a good time. Drugs kill, destroy, and take away the people we love most. Like Layne and Demri.

To Jesus Christ: Thank you.

For Nancy, Layne, Phil, Jim, Liz, Jaime, Oscar, and Demri.  With all my undying love.

For my mom & dads: I love you very much.
